After walking the floor of the PMA show in Las Vegas, in a sea of boys in black suits, you’d think I’d be posting about all the tech gadgets and cool gear we got to play with at the show. Not So! The most memorable part of this trip was not the HDMI output on new cameras or the WIFI SD cards…Nope! It was a girl we met at the airport…a little crazy perhaps, but a far cry from the business suit type and way more memorable! The REALLY sad part is…she even made meeting Meredith Vieira a little anti-climactic! Here’s the story…(PMA highlights will come later!)

She says she’s not crazy, bi-polar or drunk. In fact, she informs me, she’s vegan?! But she’s certainly full of energy and a little more color than expected. By color, I mean her choice of topics of conversation and some of the ‘colorful’ words I’m not used to hearing here in Utah. Miss (well, Mrs.) Danielle had Kayla (The Legacy Lady) and Lynda Angelastro and me laughing in spite of having walked the Las Vegas convention center floor for days on end.

Minding our own business, falling asleep waiting for our plane home, we hear a not-so-quiet laugh in the row of seats behind us. A girl rushes over to us and has to show us a pen she bought in Vegas for a friend. I looked at the ceiling while she demonstrated the functions of the pen to Kayla. It was a tricky pen. I guess it involved a boy and a trick pair of boxer/briefs. But I wouldn’t know because I wasn’t looking!!

That was just the beginning. Shortly after our pen escapade, Miss Danielle decided to come a little close to us. Like on the floor next to our seats. More colorful language and topics followed including having part of her body signed by a fighter I don’t know the name of but is supposedly very cool. As I was turning my head to avoid the body part show, I spotted a familiar face. Meredith Vieira from the Today show was sitting at the next gate. Just to be sure I was seeing who I thought I was I asked Kayla to double check for me. Miss Danielle heard me and said “I’ll go ask her!!!” And she wasn’t kidding. She bounded across the aisles as Meredith stood up to board the plane and asked if she truly was the Millionaire lady and when Meredith replied to the affirmative, Miss Danielle promptly replied “You look so much thinner in person!!” She then points over to me (quietly sitting in my seat) and says “She’s the one who saw you!” and called me over. I went over and kind of apologized for this girl I had never met before but Meredith was getting an earful about how Danielle had lost her voice the night before ‘PARTYING’!!
Check out the video and you can see Meredith repeating that to the camera. I can assure you that Danielle was much more interesting than I was!
