Happy April Fool’s Day!! I always kick myself for not doing something so this year I planned a little something for my kids.

This weekend is General Conference for LDS people (LDS.org) which means meetings all weekend. In this area we are fortunate to be able to watch on television but one meeting for the men is only broadcast at the church building. James and Ken had the opportunity to go to the actual meeting in Salt Lake lastnight. That gave me an idea!!!

When the kids got up at 7 this morning I told them to get ready for church and they, of course, said, BUT it’s Conference today! I told them about the new Children’s meeting of conference. It started at 9AM at the church. I had them take showers (they needed them anyway) and get dressed in church clothes. They were all ready to go by 9AM. They looked great!

THEN…I took them into my room where dad was still sleeping to show him how great they looked. Then I said…what is today?? Sunday, they said. And what is the date….April 1st! And what would that mean? James said…that you’re KIDDING!!! This was the reaction…

Kelsey said…No wonder you didn’t have me put my tights on! (Leave it to her to notice!) And James was just happy to not have to go to another meeting.
So, now I have two clean well dressed kids ready for Conference!!
