Nicely Priced wide-format Photo Printer From Epson!!

Epson has been advertising its new Claria inks for a few months now and I have to say I am pretty impressed. I have printed out a bunch of photos and scrapbook pages on my new R260 and the quality is amazing! I print all my pages 8×8 so this one will work just great for me.

Until now, the new ink sets have only been available in a standard letter size printer, but today Epson announced the release of the new Stylus Photo 1400. They say it’s the ultimate value in photo quality and longevity. The inks are dye based and have a slightly lower archival rating, but the sharpness and definition you get is perfect for high definition photos and scrapbook pages and the rating is still about 98 years with their Premium Photo Paper.

The best news about this printer is the nice price! Until now, wide format printers have typically been above the $500 mark, but the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 has a mfg. suggested price of $399 AND it comes with Adobe photoshop Elements ($99 value!).

Some other details…
- Border Free photos up to 13×19
- Automatically adjusts color (this option CAN be turned off in the printer’s settings)
- Prints on CDs/DVDs
- Six ink cartridges means less wasted ink
- Prints directly from PictBridge enabled cameras

So, if you’ve been in the market for a wide format printer, you’ll have to check this one out!
